Alexandra von Burg è nata in Ticino, è un’artista autodidatta, vive nei pressi di Lugano, è cresciuta in una famiglia di artisti. Le sue radici sono per metà  in Svizzera Interna e per metà nei Paesi Bassi.

È un’artista professionista dal 2000 ed ad oggi ha esposto le sue opere in oltre 100 mostre e fiere d’arte a livello nazionale ed internazionale.

Nel 2002 diventa membro attivo dell’Associazione Pittori e Scultori Ticinesi, partecipando a numerose estemporanee sulle piazze ticinesi.

Dal 2014 al 2021 è Presidente dell’Associazione Pittori & Scultori Ticinesi.

Tecnica

Lavora con tecniche miste acriliche; tra i suoi materiali si possono trovare catrame, paste strutturali, juta, sabbia, pietra, lava, giornali e simili.

Ricerca del soggetto

Non fa schizzi e non ha un piano prestabilito. Si affida all’intuizione, scegliendo colori e materiali e lasciando che sia il quadro a parlare. Grazie ai suoi numerosi viaggi e alle impressioni raccolte nascono cicli di opere.

Nei suoi quadri si riflette spesso il suo fascino per i paesaggi nordici ed il mare.

Le sue opere nascono da molteplici strati, dando vita a un processo creativo: i colori possono trasparire, si crea profondità e l’opera  trasmette emozioni profonde.

Alexandra von Burg wurde im Tessin geboren. Die autodidaktische Künstlerin lebt in der Umgebung von Lugano und wuchs in einer Künstlerfamilie auf. Ihre Wurzeln liegen zur Hälfte in der Deutschschweiz und zur Hälfte in den Niederlanden.

Seit dem Jahr 2000 ist sie als professionelle Künstlerin tätig. Bis heute hat sie ihre Werke in über 100 Ausstellungen und Kunstmessen im In- und Ausland präsentiert.

Im Jahr 2002 wurde sie aktives Mitglied der Associazione Pittori e Scultori Ticinesi und nahm an zahlreichen Freilichtmalereien auf verschiedenen Plätzen im Tessin teil.

Von 2014 bis 2021 war sie Präsidentin der Associazione Pittori & Scultori Ticinesi.

Technik

Alexandra von Burg arbeitet mit verschiedenen Mischtechniken auf Acrylbasis. Zu den von ihr verwendeten Materialien gehören unter anderem Teer, Strukturpasten, Jute, Sand, Stein, Lava, Zeitungen und ähnliche Materialien.

Die Suche nach dem Motiv

Sie fertigt keine Skizzen an und folgt keinem im Voraus festgelegten Plan. Stattdessen vertraut sie ihrer Intuition, wählt Farben und Materialien spontan aus und lässt das Bild selbst sprechen. Aus den Eindrücken, die sie auf ihren zahlreichen Reisen sammelt, entstehen verschiedene Werkzyklen.

In ihren Bildern spiegelt sich immer wieder ihre besondere Faszination für nordische Landschaften und das Meer wider.

Ihre Werke entstehen in zahlreichen Schichten und entwickeln sich in einem fortlaufenden kreativen Prozess. Farben können durch die verschiedenen Schichten hindurchscheinen, wodurch eine besondere Tiefe entsteht und die Werke intensive und vielschichtige Emotionen vermitteln.

Alexandra von Burg was born in Ticino, Switzerland. A self-taught artist, she lives in the Lugano area and grew up in a family of artists. Her heritage is half Swiss German and half Dutch.

She has been working as a professional artist since 2000. To date, her works have been presented in more than 100 exhibitions and art fairs in Switzerland and abroad.

In 2002, she became an active member of the Associazione Pittori e Scultori Ticinesi, participating in numerous outdoor painting events held at various locations throughout Ticino.

From 2014 to 2021, she served as President of the Associazione Pittori & Scultori Ticinesi.

Technique

Alexandra von Burg works with a variety of mixed media techniques based on acrylic. Among the materials she incorporates into her works are tar, modelling and texture pastes, jute, sand, stone, lava, newspapers and other similar materials.

The Search for the Motif

She does not make preliminary sketches or follow a predetermined plan. Instead, she trusts her intuition, spontaneously selecting colours and materials and allowing the painting itself to speak.

The impressions she gathers during her numerous travels inspire the creation of different series of works.

Her paintings repeatedly reflect her particular fascination with northern landscapes and the sea.

Her works are created through numerous layers and evolve through an ongoing creative process. Colours may emerge through the various layers, creating a distinctive sense of depth and allowing the works to convey intense and multifaceted emotions.
